I’m too beautiful to be Low key

“It’s important for everyone to know that I am more than the bad things that happened to me. You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

Nightbirde Jane made this statement during her soul winning performance of her original song titled “It’s Okay” at the 2021 America’s Got Talent competition (https://youtu.be/CZJvBfoHDk0)

This performance won her a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell.  Nightbirde died approximately 8months later after succeeding to put a smile on over 1 million faces through YouTube. She shared a life of struggle, joy and hope while she was in a serious battle with cancer. Her daily updates brought light into many lives, happy and sad alike. In most of her videos, she wore a bright smile. Even though she was in her dark days, Nightbirde showed us that metastasized cancer and other life issues wouldn’t stop her from singing and helping people smile. She was a fighter who showed us that she was too beautiful to be low key. She was suffering with cancer but she smiled till the end.

After watching Simon Cowell hit the golden buzzer, I couldn’t help but appreciate the meaning of the saying that goes ” I hit rock bottom but I rose even higher”. Nightbirde battled with a terminal illness, but her daily updates before her dead taught me never to underestimate the contributions I can make in someone else’s life, no matter how small because sometimes that contribution goes a long way for both parties. Of course, I’m too beautiful to be low key, I’ll step out each day to do something positive and remarkable.

You might not be doing the little things perfectly but I will like you to know that there’s a possibility for you to learn how to continue doing them, someday you’ll get it right. Come out of your hiding. Step into the spotlight and own every moment. Staying hidden is way too costly. Let your life unravel and endeavor to be authentic. Life is for those who still have hope. Come out of the dark, and let your little light shine to brighten someone else’s path. Make beautiful memories and keep them. You are too beautiful to be low key.
